Improved in 2016-2018 with a new splash pad and playground at the east end of the park, and a new picnic shelter at the west end of the park, which requires reservations! Xenia Station also contains a picnic shelter at the east end of the park next to the splash pad, which is open to the public. The park's signature landmark is a reconstructed replica of a former telegraph building, which contains restrooms, a classroom (available for reservations) and a historic museum. Another landmark at the site is an authentically restored caboose, which is available for guided tours.

Effective April 11, 2019 the picnic shelter at the splash pad is no longer rented out. It is available to the public on a first come first served basis.

The water at the splash pad is typically turned on the Friday before Memorial Day thru the Tuesday after Labor Day.

The water is on 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.
