After several months of accepting submissions, a panel of judges have awarded the winners of the Xenia Tree Committee's 2023 Winter Tree Amateur Photography Contest.
The contest ran from January 1, 2023 through March 1, 2023 and was only open to amateur photographers. Those interested in participating were asked to capture a unique aspect of a tree and photograph it. This year 13 amateur photographers submitted their work, resulting in 51 photos for the judges to review. This year's winners are:
Judges were not provided the names of any of the photographers, they only had the ability to view the photos.
The winning photograph will be displayed in the first floor of the City Administration Building, 107 E. Main Street, Xenia. The Tree Committee hopes these photography contests help to raise awareness of the beauty of trees and encourages others to take care of our precious urban forest.
