Greene County Board of Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities – Case Management Services

The goal of case management is to ensure that eligible individuals with mental retardation or developmental disabilities will have access to all available opportunities and services that may be obtained both within and outside their communities in order to maximize the quality of their lives. This includes information or referral, crisis intervention, advocacy, service placement, and unusual incident investigation/ reporting.

The Victim/Witness Division of the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office provides 24-hour support and advocacy services for any felony crime victim. Services include crisis intervention, information about police procedures, medical and prosecution procedures, court procedures, and referrals.

Victim Assistance Program - Xenia Municipal Court

The Xenia Victim Assistance Program provides the following services through Xenia Municipal Court and the City Prosecutor’s Office:

Court advocacy and escort during all stages of the criminal justice proceedings; A safe and secure waiting place, away from the defendant; Notification of court dates and times; Information about the criminal justice process;  Assistance in applying for compensation through the Ohio Victim Compensation Program; Appropriate referrals to social services agencies;  24-hour Crisis Response through the Xenia Police Division can be reached by calling 937-376-5111 or 937-427-2883 and asking for Xenia Victim Assistance.

The Greene County Fair Housing Officer can provide you with information on fair housing (discrimination in seeking housing based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, family status or handicap). In addition, information is available on landlord-tenant issues. The fair housing office, unfortunately, does not have a listing of available housing, nor does it substitute for legal advice.

This program may provide reimbursement for expenses for a person(s) injured during a crime. Expenses may include medical expense, work loss, dependent’s economic loss, and limited funeral expenses. Lost, stolen, or damaged property is not covered. Information and claims are available through the Common Pleas Courts.
