Steve Shaw
SergeantPhone: (937) 347-1658Sgt. Shaw began his career with the Xenia Police Division in 1999 where he served as a patrol officer for 11 years. As a patrol officer, he served as a field training officer, evidence technician, bike patrol officer, defensive tactics instructor, and BAC operator. Sgt. Shaw has been a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team since 2010. Sgt. Shaw was assigned to the criminal investigation section in 2010 and was assigned to the Greene County ACE Task Force. Sgt. Shaw was promoted to a Patrol Sergeant in 2016. He currently supervises one of the day shift platoons. He also oversees the division’s crash response team and is the division’s representative on the Xenia Traffic Commission.
Sgt. Shaw is a lifelong resident of the Xenia and graduated from Carroll High School in 1989. Sgt. Shaw also graduated from Clark State College with an associate’s degree in criminal justice.

Matt Cvitkovich
SergeantPhone: (937) 347-1664Sgt. Cvitkovich began his career with the Xenia Police Division in 2003 where he served as a patrol officer for 13 years. As a patrol officer, he served as a field training officer, evidence technician, bike patrol officer and BAC operator. Sgt. Cvitkovich was assigned to the criminal investigation section in 2016, before being promoted to a Patrol Sergeant in 2017. He is currently a day shift patrol supervisor and oversees the bike patrol unit. Sgt. Cvitkovich has received the silver shield award, two meritorious service awards and a leadership award throughout his career.

Matt Miller
SergeantPhone: (937) 347-1657Sgt. Matt Miller has been with the department since 2002 where he was a bike patrol officer, field training officer, evidence tech, OLC president and a BAC operator. In 2014, Sgt Miller was assigned to the detective section as a general detective and was an arson investigator, CVSA operator and property room manager. He was then promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2022. He is currently assigned to evening / midnight supervisor. Sgt. Miller oversees Community / Precision Policing and is the Commander of the Special Technology Unit (drones). Sgt. Miller has received the Silver Shield Commendation, Distinguished Service Award, Meritorious Service award, Leadership Award, Child Advocate of the year and Casey Elliott Memorial "City Finest" award.

Anthony Vitale
SergeantPhone: (937) 347-1661Sgt Anthony (Tony) Vitale began his career with the Xenia Police Division in 2006 and served as a patrol officer for 16 years. As a patrol officer, he served as a field training officer (FTO), evidence technician, BAC operator, and OLC Representative. Sgt Vitale has received two Silver Shield Awards, four Meritorious Service Awards, one Distinguished Service Award, and the Leadership Award. In 2023 he was promoted to Patrol Sergeant and is currently an evening shift supervisor. He also oversees departmental training as well as the FTO program.
