City Announces RFP to Explore Facility Alternatives

Category: News and Announcements
Posted by: CMOfc

The City of Xenia is seeking proposals for alternative municipal facility locations as it evaluates the option of renovating the former Simon Kenton Elementary School for administrative offices. The City has recognized a need for more space for its Police Division and administrative service operations, all of which are currently located in City Hall at 101 N. Detroit Street in downtown Xenia. However, before committing resources for rehab construction at the former school site, the City is seeking information on viable alternatives to moving administrative offices to the Simon Kenton facility.

This RFP effort is intended to engage public or private entities in generating any new, feasible options for relocation of administrative services. The RFP requests property owners who believe they may have facilities that provide comparable, feasible alternatives to submit basic site/facility information and a letter of intent to the City by July 31, 2013.
