On Friday, July 30, 2010, a Press Release was issued in regard to two (2) proposed Charter Amendments to appear on the November 2, 2010, ballot.  The first amendment addresses the petition request from the "Get Alarmed Citizens of Xenia" Political Action Committee, which requires minimum manning for public safety services in the City.  The second amendment addresses the City's ability to continue to provide cost effective public safety services by allowing the City to hire part-time, temporary, and/or volunteer firefighters.
