Xenia, Ohio, 07/23/2010:  The City of Xenia has received a petition for a charter amendment for minimum manning for police and fire services.  The petition was presented by the Get Alarmed Citizens of Xenia political action committee.  The City of Xenia is required by Ohio Revised Code Section 731.28 to retain the petition and make it available for public inspection for 10 days.  The petition is currently available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk located at 101 North Detroit Street. At the end of the 10-day period, the City must transmit a certified copy of the charter amendment and the petition to the Board of Elections.
