Mission Statement

The dedicated staff of the City of Xenia’s Wastewater Treatment Division will safeguard the environment and public health by maintaining the highest level of treatment at the lowest attainable cost to our customers. This stewardship will be accomplished through sound fiscal management, the use of advanced technology, staff education and training, and the application of "Best Management Practices" of the industry.

The Wastewater Treatment Division can be reached at (937) 376-7271. The Division is staffed by 10 dedicated employees led by the Wastewater Treatment Division Supervisor. The Division operates and maintains two wastewater treatment facilities and an environmental laboratory. The Division prides itself in professional standards and collaboration. In 2006 alone, the Division successfully treated over 1.7 billion gallons of water and returned it to the environment for recreation and reuse.
