In 2016, the City of Xenia made changes to the Annual Leaf Collection Schedule. The leaf collection is done later in the season to help ensure most leaves are off the trees and residents have ample time to rake them to the curb.
The City will be divided into two zones. Zone 1 includes all areas north of Main Street and Zone 2 includes all areas south of Main Street. Main Street addresses will be picked up with Zone 1.
2017 Collection Dates: Zone 1 - November 27th through December 1st.
All areas north of Main Street, including Main St.
Zone 2 - December 4th through December 8th.
All areas south of Main Street.
Leaves need to be raked to the curb before the Monday of your pick up week. It is also very important that cars are not parked in the leaf pick up area.
Residents also have the option to recycle leaves:
Greene County Environmental Services (GCES): Residents may dispose of brush, leaves and and yard waste at the GCES facility located at 2145 Greene Way Boulevard in Xenia. Brush at the facility are ground into untreated mulch and available free to Greene County residents on a self serve basis. Residents are reminded of the following:
Residents must unload their own vehicles.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before closing so you can be unloaded by closing.
Brush should be no longer than 4 feet and no greater than 4 inches in diameter.
Hours of operation at the GCES are as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 1 to 8 p.m.
